Dave McCallum

Dave McCallum is a retired senior detective who has specialised for more than 25 years in investigating and developing strategic responses to sexual violence and child abuse and is also an experienced homicide investigator. ​ An accredited level 3 senior investigating officer, Dave led the Bristol Public Protection Unit until his retirement from the police service. He has spent seven years since chairing local safeguarding children boards, leading work to combat sexual exploitation and conducting a number of complex case reviews and investigations. He has been investigating complex sexual misconduct cases for universities since June 2018. ​ Dave holds a MSc degree in Child Forensic Studies.
